Reynold's Center - National Portrait Gallery - The Presidents of the United States
The only official collection of portraits of the Presidents open to the public (the other is in the White House), the Smithsonian's collection includes the famous "Landsdowne Portrait" of President Washington that Dolley Madison saved from the British burning of the White House during the War of 1812 (the one in the White House is a copy).
The reason President Obama is not here is that tradition dictates that the Presidential portrait is not unveiled until the end of their administration. President Bush's portrait was unveiled on December 19, 2008, so President Obama's should be on view in about 2 years.
