A storehouse of American history - political and cultural. Where else can one see General Washington's military uniform, Julia Child's kitchen, Lucy Hayes' reception gown and the original Kermit the Frog?
On my last visit the museum was undergoing a massive renovation, thus explaining the construction pictures.
