National Museum of Natural History - Architecture
Built in 1912, the NHM building is currently undergoing renovations to bring the character of the building back to it's original look. In the 90's the museum added office space and an Imax theater by filling in the two original interior courtyards. The domed rotunda inspired similar buildings throughout Washington.
