Ford's Theater
In a great tribute to President Lincoln, Ford's Theater is not a mausoleum, but rather it is still a working theater. During the day it is a NPS site with talks throughout the day, but in the evening through most of the year their are performances on the stage. In the basement is a small museum about the tragic evening. Across the street is the preserved home where Lincoln died (though not the bed - you need to visit the Chicago Historical Society to see that).
