Arlington National Cemetery
Founded on the grounds of General Robert E. Lee's estate out of revenge, Arlington National Cemetery is the final resting place for heroes of all of the Nation's wars. There are many highlights here, but my favorite spot is Pierre L'Enfant's gravesite. The designer of Washington, DC, his grave sits on top of a hill with a magnificent view of his city below.
