Dr. Wilson is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He was born and raised in Gainesville, Georgia, and loves treating his hometown family and friends.

He graduated in 1995 from Gainesville High School, where he was active in both football and baseball. While at college, he was recognized for several prestigious achievements: The President's and Dean's List as well as the National Dean's List, President of the Phi Eta Sigma Freshman Honor Society, Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, and the highest GPA Award for the Theta Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Chi. In addition, he was an active member of his fraternity, Sigma Chi, holding offices of Scholarship Chair and President of the Alpha Nu Pledge Class. He graduated from North Georgia College and State University Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and minor in Biology in 1999.

After college, Dr. Wilson attended the Medical College of Georgia, School of Dentistry, graduating at the top of his class in 2004. This achievement earned him a position in the Orthodontic Residency Program at the Medical College of Georgia, from which he graduated in December 2006. While at the Medical College of Georgia, Dr. Wilson was active in the American Student Dental Association and served as chairman his junior year for the annual ASDA golf tournament. He also was active throughout his dental career in research and was asked to present his findings in San Antonio and Hawaii.

Dr. Wilson married his wife, Bonnie-Lynne, in December 2006. They are currently living in Gainesville and have two daughters, Lilly-Kate and Hartley, one son, Baylor, and two dogs, Duke and Bailey. Bonnie-Lynne is practice coordinator for Wilson Orthodontics and also is employed by Northeast Georgia Health System as a hospice bereavement counselor working with children who have lost a parent or sibling. Dr. Wilson enjoys spending time with his wife and family, golfing, boating, traveling, hunting, fishing, and running. He and his family are active members of Lakewood Baptist Church. Dr. Wilson prides himself in thoroughly developing each patient's unique case and furthering his orthodontic practice through new ideas, practicing the latest treatment techniques, and attending continuing education meetings.

In December 2006, Dr. Wilson joined Dr. Thomas Field's 30-year-old practice and transitioned the practice to what is now Wilson Orthodontics. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Georgia Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Hinman Society, and the Georgia Dental Association. Upon graduation in 2006, he also achieved the prestigious status of Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. In 2010, Dr. Wilson voluntarily presented patient cases to the American Board of Orthodontics and has been re-board certified until the year 2021. This is a status that only 25% of all practicing orthodontists obtain in their careers.
