This is so irritating it makes the site almost unusable. I have just tried 12 times to post in Ipernity refugees and it looks like I have to try a number of times here. Dump it ..it is so irritating!!

Don't think anyone is arguing that recaptcha are user friendly -- traditionally, it's been our only really effective way to combat spam, so we've taken it as a necessary evil.

I just left replies to two new comments. Now, you're making us fill out a form in addition to the Captcha? Good grief! Why do you put up so many blocks to using your site? Another one is the difficulty of simply adding a Contact, which should be a matter of one click on the member's gallery.
(By the way, NO other photo sites that I know of use Captcha, unless it's one in Uzbekistan I don't know about. I've only seen it used on blogs so you don't have to have an account there. So, I don't see how it's a necessary evil for 23.)
