These files couldn't be uploaded (possibly because the file type isn't supported):
* PICT1020.JPG
* PICT3804.JPG
* PICT1020.JPEG

Could you send one or more sample photos to me at steffen@23hq.com -- then I'll have a look at the issue?

I'm having the same problem with JPG images :( I've tried one photo and one wallpaper; the first was edited with GIMP and the other one no.

Hmm, we're not seeing any flashing lights on the servers and the moment -- and I've just uploaded a photo myself with no trouble at all. I'll try some magic -- could you re-test uploading in about five minutes and give me an update?

Same problem here now, no matter if I use standard upload or basic upload with firefox or googlechrome, I cannot upload photos. Error "These files couldn't be uploaded (possibly because the file type isn't supported):"
Is this specific to my account? I tried old files which I already did upload successfully but with the same result.
Thanks for help! Gerrit

Weird, we're testing out new servers this week, so it might be a misconfiguration -- shout out if you see it again.

I'm having this problem as well. Nothing changed in my photo workflow, just suddenly this message appears after photo upload.

I'm having this problem as well, consistently. The images are created in the account, but appear as broken.
This is a link to the jpg file I'm trying to upload, hosted on Google Drive: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B0GD69HVAhmRNEd4ZjNWTDE1UDA
This is the screenshot of what happens when I upload: https://skitch.com/voss/ekrnf/23-photo-sharing-add-photos
And this is what the broken photo page looks like: http://www.23hq.com/voss/photo/8041496

So the problem is that you get an error message -- but still, the photos are uploaded?
If you do a View Source in the browser, what do the last line before <&body> say? I.e:
<!-- web02.kay.23hq.net, 1.499s -->

Well, yes, and no (:
I get an error message, and the placeholder for the photo is made at http://www.23hq.com/voss/photo/8041496, but there's no photo there as you can see. The entry is made in the DB I assume, but because the upload didn't work, there's no image to display. So in the end, the photo is not uploaded.
That last line on the page http://www.23hq.com/voss/photo/8041496 says:
<!-- web01.kay.23hq.net, 0.513s -->

Hi. I have the same problem, at least so it seems. Replacing the picture with itself after upload seems to function as a workaround. Maybe just the flash upload module is broken.

A quick update: We still haven't been able to find a good explanation for this issue, although it's most likely related to a batch of new servers we've added about a week ago. For now, I have disabled these -- and would like to hear if this changes anything for you guys?

Yes, this seems to have changed something. At least, I could now upload an image without problems that previously failed.

Sorry for my delay in testing and replying to this.
I can confirm this also works for me now, perfectly actually. So thanks a lot Steffen!

We may have been able to fix the bug that plagued the server and this thread -- so we're trying a new deployment. Please report back if you encounter any problems.
