Just yesterday, I finished the revisions and uploaded Carpa 708 to my Mediafire account. Although this issue, as I mentioned in another post, is the last in the series, it has become canon, and that will lead me to review the rest of the series in case I need to adapt it. At the moment, I don't know when I'll do so; the previous issues are still available for download, and only the one I'm going to review will be deleted. My plan is to leave the series in order and move on to other stories, although there may still be some surprises.
This is one of the texts in the volume:
The chronicles of the time, perfectly linked on our servers, describe how, for the first time in history, the Empress did not have to submit to the judgment of her troops, and how, one after another, the units selected for the ceremony paraded, all of them prominent protagonists of the campaign. When the turn of the "Alba Negra" combat group arrived, the frenzy of the spectators could hardly be described.
The entire group marched, in full battle uniform and with all their heavy weapons, the only ones to do so. Amparo marched at the front, Condenación three steps behind, and Teresa, at her side, carried the banner of the Alba Negra colors. As they passed in front of the platform, the women mounted their weapons and pointed them at the Empress while Amparo recites the old oath of allegiance. Their weapons were dismounted, and the entire group cheered the Empress three times, proclaiming eternal loyalty to the crown. While all the attendees join in the oath, only Taciana VI and Maria de los Dolores Montoya of Alba Negra and Piedra Blanca smile from the imperial gallery.
It is impossible to know if everything narrated was prepared by the Alba Negra family and the crown itself. The protagonist explains nothing, much less the crown's archives, but everything leads us to believe it was. The gesture is sufficient warning to the rest of the great aristocratic families and reinforces the empress against any conspiracy, given the support of the Alba Negra family. Our friend therefore prefers, once all the official ceremonies are over, to drink even the water from the vases, and the three inseparable women will exploit the capital's nighttime again and again. These nights are not detailed in the folder, but countless color and black and white photographs of those evenings, like the one accompanying these lines, are archived. It is evident that it is impossible to show all this work, and we have preferred, as is usual, to open the corresponding sections on our servers with the complete series, duly commented and analyzed by this editorial team. The events of the parade seem to add new nuances to the disappearance of the three protagonists. I was tempted to allow the triad to develop some novels based on these palace intrigues hatched by the Alba Negra family and the crown, but instead, I preferred to place all this material in the hands of the second editorial mandate, under my direction, so that they can begin a thorough investigation into these matters. The entire editorial team agrees that Amparo would not play a leading role in them. We believe, perhaps a bit risky to do so, that our friend would not hesitate to please her adoptive mother. The relationship, as has already been mentioned, evolved to the point where we can consider that Amparo was fully integrated into the family and obeyed the direction of the head of the family in all matters relating to court politics. This would not be strange on her part; her support and loyalty to the Empress was well known and the request would serve to reinforce not only the family's position in the palace, but also that of the Empress herself, who was undoubtedly facing a complicated post-war period, as the aristocratic revolt would demonstrate years later.
