What are Inbound and outbound logistics?

Logistics for both inbound and outbound traffic are crucial steps in the supply chain management process. The transportation of goods and materials from suppliers to a company's warehouses or manufacturing facilities is referred to as inbound logistics. The movement of finished goods from a company's warehouses to the final consumer is known as outbound logistics.
Purchasing, shipping, receiving, and storing of commodities are all included in inbound logistics. Order fulfilment, picking and packing, transportation, and delivery are all examples of outbound logistics activities.
The seamless operation of the supply chain depends on both inbound and outbound logistics. Customer satisfaction can be raised while expenses are decreased and profitability is increased with effective management of these logistics.
