really nice effect, is that sepia filter?

First I changed picture in BW mode, then I used Sample colorization, where I used custom sample created with Gradient.

(Filters / Colors / Map / Sample Colorize in Gimp 2.2 . Filter has been moved in Colors menu in Gimp 2.4 )

I like this one very much. Object off center but the wall and chains lead the eye to it. Moreover the girl is not looking into the camera, she is looking at the scenery at the right hand side of the picture. Well done.

By the way, I must have a look at the Sample Colorize; I have never used it.

The only part that is distracting is the stuff behind the girl, the 3 pipes and piece of cement/concrete (?).

Maybe by moving p or down the chain you could have cut it out in the composition, sometimes it is really hard, but still a good result you got here.
