Another bad picture, but now you can see the layout of the area. The village is in the foreground, with my rented cottage obscured by the trees. The pool I photographed near the mouth of Okarito lagoon is in the bottom-left corner and the beach I could access (without a boat!) is off to the left but looks like the one in the picture. The previous picture with the view of the mountains is looking to the right of this view and 3-mile lagoon is behind me. The hill I am on runs down to the sea to form a bluff which separates Okarito and 3-mile lagoon beach.
