Well, a big old city a bit mediterran in style... it is pretty but it is true, you may get this impressions of high stone walls smal windows and very narrow drives in many of the old southern towns. They did know how to keep cool in and outside the house.

Thank you Sonia. Madrid often gets VERY cold in Winter (it is the highest capital city in Europe) and the thick walls and small windows also help to retain heat.
