Thank you Fizgig. Known to me as Montbretia, I've never known if they were simply alternative names for each other or whether one was a cultivar of the other!

Andy.... They are commonly known in the United States as Coppertips or Falling Stars & in the United Kingdom as Montbretia. Crocosmia is the genus name ;)

Just beautiful ! And one more thing, .... "It is one of the parents of the common garden montbretia." ( see Tritonia crocosmaeflora.)
kro-KOS-mee-a ---- it is related to the Gladiolus. and is said to have the smell of Saffron , and that is how it gets its name. A great shot !
