Cranesbill or Storksbill (common names for a variety of geranium). Happily self-seeded in an 11th floor window box. It was there to welcome me when I moved into this flat a few years ago!

Could you give a general location for them? Don't need geo tags or anything, but knowing where in the world would likely get you to a definitive ID. So, yeah, general location & time of year ;)

It was in a window box on a terrace in a flat I had in Madrid about 4 years ago! It was there when I moved in to the flat and I can see that it is definitely of the geranium family.

Sorry Andy, I haven't a better suggestion, but don't think it is a geranium. But nice pisture anyway.

ID = Erodium Cicutarium... Goes by several common, regional names so I won't get into those ;)

Many thanks, Fizgig. Storksbill (not Cranesbill) was the name I was looking for. Please to have confirmation that it is a geranium after all. I thought it had to be because of the distinctive geranium seedhead spikes seen on the right of the photo.
