Ah, is that how Samphire blossoms? I never saw one in bloom, just the green succulent steems. In Germany it is not harvestable, protected along with all of the wadden sea and growing nowhere else, but I once got it as a side on the french coast. I thought it's a bit like portulac with a big dose seasalt and a tiny bit of sage, indeed rather nice on a filet of ocean fish but I daubt it would go with a lot of other things.

This is rock samphire. It only grows on sea cliffs. You mean marsh samphire. Totally different plant but a similar flavour!
