Well, this castle too is a former monastry and also one the Wuerttembergs selected for themselves after secularisation, just like Hofen. This was the Teutonic Order area headquarters to be exact so it is a strange mysterious place, and very nicely decked out.
Before this time here was the keep of local lesser nobility, the family of Hermannus Contractus or Herman the Lame. The physically challenged boy was born here, and lived in this place until he was sent off to the Reichenau.
