In Memory Of Our Little Dorothy

She passed away sometime in the night. One of the very first chicks we hatched on our homestead, back in 2015. She was a beautiful Partridge Chantecler hen, always so friendly. I supposed six and a half years is pretty good for a laying hen on the Saskatchewan prairie.

One of my favorite breeds of chicken. They were bread particularly to survive the harsh Canadian winters.
