I have an Apple laptop in my collection that's pushing 30 and still works beautifully (in mint condition, too).... Just 'cause it's old doesn't make it useless ;)

Like the warm tone to the shot....

That's fantastic! Nope, old does not mean obsolete. I still use my Commodore on a regular basis. It's such a big part of my personal history, it just brings me a lot of joy when ever I fire it up.

I'll have to photograph it for ya =) As a tech., I'm quite happy with the work I've done to upgrade the little thing beyond even manufacturer's max. specs. so it actually runs really well and much quicker to load stuff than one would expect. It's still nowhere near my current equipment or anything, but it's a fun little computer to pull out and tinker with every now and then... Heck, with an active landline, I could still get the pristine 30yr. old fossil onto the internet.... LOL... Of course, the number of sites I could actually get to load with a 30yr. old web browser could likely be counted on one hand ;) Folks get a thrill out of the little thing, though, with its docking station and external floppy drive .... The 11" active matrix display was ahead of its time in terms of color, too, so the picture is pretty decent =) Sometimes I get a hankerin' to play me some old school Tetris or an old Oregon Trail game that's quite amusing.... Or just have some fun typing in some old pieces of my writing and I power up the little relic =)

That would be great to see! Please do share some photos!

I also have modern hardware that allows me to get my Commodore on-line. One device is an Internet modem, with which I can access my account on CommodoreOnlline.com, where I have a large collection of disk images stored. The modem, along with the account, emulates a floppy disk drive, so I can connect and use the collection of disk images very easily over the Internet.

I love this sort of stuff. :)

If you're interested, I have a Commodore blog site where I share my retro computing adventures. It's at: http://www.my64.in.nf
