My wife and I rescued her from an abandoned nest we found on our land. We rescued two eggs and put them in our incubator. Only one hatched. So, we contacted a nearby hatchery and found her three Emden geese hatch-lings to raise with her, so she wouldn't be lonely.

She stayed with us until February of last year, then decided to head south. She returned in the spring, but didn't stay with us too long. Seems as though she found her own flock.
