I really like the selective focus of the Fotodiox's lens, as well as the vignette it creates. If anything, it makes the photos look more "real" or "true to life" to me.

i can't explain why i like photos like this where many things seem to have gone "wrong". maybe it is like you say, more real. of course it is compositionally really good but i do think it is the stuff of real life energy the nuances bring to it.

Thank you very much, raingirl. I'm glad you like the photo. I don't know what it is about these types of photos, either. Could it be that digital photography is just too perfect, and it strips away the energy, as you say?

Maybe the imperfections just speaks something to us, we imperfect humans. ;)
