Vivitar Vista Tele Motor

Picked this point and shoot camera up at the Salvation Army for $2.00. There's a small mirror inside, which flips into place, when you wish to use the 2X tele lens. It also takes panorama shots, but only if you insert the panorama matte before loading the film.

I have an old Vivitar film camera.... Nothing fancy like this one ;) But it likely still works -- though it's a good 20+ yrs. old. For a simple camera, it took really nice pictures =)

That's great! As long as they're kept out of the extreme elements, film cameras like these should last for a very long time.

There's very few things that can go wrong with them, apart from the degeneration of the plastics. If they are motorized, like this one, the important thing to remember to do is removed the batteries. When I found this one, it still had batteries in it. But, I was able to clean it up.

I'm looking forward to seeing how well this one photographs. I'll post my results.

Oh yeah, I definitely removed the batteries -- years ago =) I keep the thing more for sentimental value than anything... Though, I suppose you never know when you'll need a film camera again -- by then, we probably wouldn't be able to find film for 'em anymore, though ;)

Good luck with the camera.... Would be neat to see what the pics. look like from it =)

Maybe after the EMP attack, film cameras will be in demand again. LOL!
