North Rd milk bar, Newport
It's an increasingly common sight across Melbourne these days: old milk bars being rejuvenated into smart cafes. The Pint of Milk cafe is on the corner of North Road and Douglas Parade in Newport. The cafe scored a mention in The Age Epicure supplement on 18 June: 'Coffee from city roaster Gridlock, bread f rom Crumbs, American milk bottles from eBay. There's even mixed lollies on the counter.'
