A Plasma Cutter is a powerful tool that cuts metals by sending a high-energy electric arc through the gas. Depending on the material that is cut, the gas can be argon, nitrogen, or oxygen. The arc increases the temperature of the gas to the fourth state of matter - plasma. The gas then enters into a circuit, where the cutting arc is then directed towards the workpiece. It is the ionization that transforms the gas into plasma. |
