Better than real ones?

We do have a big plastic tree in our Christmas cupboard, but this year we've gone with a live one instead. :)

real ones shed all over the floor.

they do smell nice though.

only if they're dead. :) ours is still alive. no shedding.

they do tend to die after a while unrooted.

yes, particularly here, where they've just had their big burst of spring growth and are really needing nutrients and water as they are smack in the middle of their growing phase.

Not so bad in the winter when the tree is fairly dormant anyway.
