Thailand

This is just a flower that was at the resort I stayed at. I'm not sure what type it is, but it looks pretty. :)
This just amazed me! There are many market stall-holders that drive their entire stalls around on a motorbike! I think WorkSafe would probably have something to say about this...
A beautiful tropical sunset. :D
The "Andaman Dancer II". I think it's probably seen better days to be honest. Not so much a dancer anymore. :P
One of the many fishing trawlers.
Peek-a-boo, I see you!!
A common way of getting around on waterways in Thailand, this boat was heading to the floating villages on lake Chieo Lan.
A longboat rounding a corner with some of the spectacular views on lake Chieo Lan.
Some sort of little mushrooms I saw while walking near lake Chieo Lan.
A very speedy little lizard who was taking a rest, near lake Chieo Lan.
This very scary looking tarantula thankfully retreated into his hole shortly after this photo. Eight legs is twice as many as I'm comfortable with. :/
This is a HDR of on of the many floating villages on lake Chieo Lan.
In the Khao Sok National Park we stayed in a tree house in the jungle - and this is the best signpost I have ever seen!
A rare moment on a Phuket beach when there aren't thousands of people around. One could almost relax.
The ceremonial bells in one of the dozens of Wats (Buddhist Temple) in Chiang Mai.
The work that goes into these temples is just amazing. They're just so wonderfully vibrant.
A HDR of one of the larger Wats in Chiang Mai.
Feel like sending a postcard?
One thing I noticed quickly about Thailand - there are dogs everywhere! This one was sunning itself inside the grounds of a temple. And it might look inviting and friendly - but it fairly forcefully threatened to take my brother's hand if he patted it. :P
There isn't very much graffiti in Chiang Mai, but I managed to spot this little gem.
It's not every day you see a modern motorbike speeding past an 800 year-old stone wall. Unless you live in Chiang Mai, where it happens all the time!
This elephant hoola-hoops with its trunk better than I can with my body!
The ox cart ride was certainly a little bumpy, but the ox was quite friendly.
Just in case you're an elephant looking for a snack...
Is this not the best house ever?
Look at the cute little baby elephant!
The Queen's garden had some very European-looking flowers for a tropical palace. Nevertheless, they were colourful. :)
The Queen also had some pretty orchids in her palace garden.
One of the fancier scooters in Chiang Mai.
OK, so this was actually in Kuala Lumpur, but that's on the way to Thailand, right? Anyway, there is such an interesting variety of tropical fruits in the tropics. Who would have thought?
