International Union of Conservation of Nature (IUCN) declared the Great Indian Bustard (GIB) as endangered species. There are around 50 GIBs in Gujarat and they exist only in Kutch. The Great Indian Bustards are also found in Maharashtra and Karnataka apart from Gujarat.
