yes i tried, it's a welcoming gesture, no way to refuse ;) however terrible is looks, it was actually quite good, very sweet, thanks to that honey.

(he strained out the bees when pouring it into our cups, but there were still few legs and wings left haha.. i closed my eyes and knocked it back)

hehehe... I imagined that, well I suppose that to take a "chupito" of that elixir won't hurt if you're not alergic to bees... besides the poison of all that bees neutralizes any bite you could have in the future :) -at least is a good thing to believe after you dink it right? ;) -

..do they use this liquid like some kind medication??

Not sure what is this one exactly good for.. maybe you are right with that "neutralizing" theory.. But they will always say it's good for your health ;)
