The segway is a fascinating device. Here I'm practising in the car park at Goonhilly, before having a look around the satellite station.

Whether they become ubiquitous as the bicycle, I'm unsure. Well worth riding on for the experience.

The manager was riding the latest model, designed for more difficult terrain. Still testing after two weeks, hmmm!

The lines coming from the earth have small satellites on the end, showing their geostationary orbit in a fixed position, 1/10th of the distance between the Earth and the Moon.

To maintain this relative position, they all have to move thousands of miles a minute.
