Manhattan.
From over in Brooklyn, there is a view over a former wharf of Lower Manhattan. During the night, the city lights up the whole sky.

Up near Mount Sterling, in the Victorian high-country, is Craig's Hut. It's actually a replica, built for a film. I shot this using my Panasonic GX7 and 20 mm 1.7. I took a series of shots, and used my flashgun to selectively light up the hut. I then also had a time series of images to capture the star trails - all then developed in Darktable and assembled in GIMP.

This is an old abandoned quarry, at Cape Woolami on Phillip Island (Victoria, Australia). I used a ND400 Neutral Density filter to create a long exposure time, and took three bracketed exposures. I then used LuminanceHDR and GIMP to digitally process the images and to add a vignette.

Photo 9 - First I took a bunch of photos with my flash as a wireless slave and pointing at various angles. Then I colourised them and combined them, and put a long exposure of a sparkler over the top of it all.
