A Question about Eurovision's Geography ?

Tonite is the final competition of Eurovison Songs among European Countries.

The Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) or Eurovision, is an annual song competition held among the member countries of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) since 1956.

Each member country submits a song to be performed on live television and radio and then casts votes for the other countries' songs to determine the most popular song in the competition. The contest has been broadcast every year since its inauguration in 1956 and is one of the longest-running television programmes in the world. It is also one of the most watched non-sporting events in the world, with audience figures having been quoted in recent years as anything between 100 million and 600 million internationally.

the petes, hamill and dexter, do a unique book event that has nothing to do with a book and everything to do with writing. talked on the state of the newspaper today, journalism in general, and peppered with lots of great stories of the newsrooms in the old days (the opera singer hired on a trial basis who regularly filled the air with arias and was taken as background noise by the third day, the co-worker dressed in a bedsheet and waving a kitchen knife trying to hail a cab). a rare seat around the campfire with a couple of veterans, it was the real deal

(note: the event was great, but the lapel mikes supplied by an outside vendor charging a grand didn't work too well (ahem) - so dexter got the big mic and you can see hamill holding his lapel mic in front of him. maybe you can't, as the light directly overhead was out as well, turning the normally bad photo conditions into almost-impossible conditions. this was shot at 3200 = the graininess)
