* fun facts *
Some spiders, including P. phalangioides, have the ability to completely suck out a mosquito from the tip of one of its legs, although this may take up to twelve hours. Muwahahahaaaa!
When the web of P. phalangioides is disturbed, the spider swings its body around rapidly with its legs attached firmly to its web. It swings fast enough that the spider becomes very hard to see. This may be a form of camouflage.

An annoying fly in my kitchen. I like the macro option on my camera! Unfortunately it was focusing on the back of the fly and not on its eyes. Still I like this pic for the detail it shows for example on the wings and the legs.
