About 100 top-end used bicycles. Prices range from 50,000 to 300,000 yen. ($600 to 3,200). Mostly Racing bicycles, such as Colnago and some Mountain bicycles.

Bicycles of Japan. No.29 : Aluminum can recycle collection bicycle.
Homeless people here in Japan get some money from recycling aluminum cans. We have to separate aluminum from steel cans on the recycle rubbish collection days, so that makes the job easier for them.

Actually a German Riese und Muller BD-1, confusingly OEM branded in Japan as a French Peugeot?! I'd love one of these, but at about $1000 I'd be reluctant to leave it out in the street like the one in this photo is.

Bicycles of Japan. No.9 - Mobile advertising bicycle.
You need to look closely to see that this is actually an advertising sign fixed to the back of a tricycle. It's quite a clever use of the paid parking system for bicycles recently installed at Nagoya station. They also picked the best spot, right behind Bic Camera were all the dating clubs are. 100 yen a day for the advertising... I guess it has batteries inside which light up at night time?

Bicycle Parking Meter
You now have to pay to park your bicycle near Nagoya station.

Admittedly the bicycle parking was getting a bit out of hand before the council did this. But if I take my car to the station area, and buy something in one of the shops, I can get free (Validated) parking.
But not with my bicycle.
