In the bleak future world of 1997, the earth is bleached and battered by toxic gases and acid rain. The human race teeters on the verge of extinction and a half-man, half-machine cyborg is hired to terminate the one lone scientist (Dr. Butcher M.D.’s Donald O'Brien) that can give mankind hope.

The cyborg sympathizes with the scientist but a ruthless programmer (John Saxon) is determined to finish the mission and bring on utter disaster.

Sergio Martino (Slave of the Cannibal God) directs this apocalyptic action fest that features music by Claudio ‘Goblin’ Simonetti and Special FX by Sergio Stivaletti.

After a nuclear holocaust, as the rest of society regresses to primitivism, a small elite group manage to escape radioactive contamination and hole up in a massive mansion surrounded by lush grounds.
In this every-man-for-himself, kill-or-be-killed, survival-of-the-fittest environment , the callous upper class now get their twisted jollies off by hunting expendable contaminated poor folks.

The story follows Alan, a decent but wimpy guy that narrowly escapes death and is nursed back to health by a tough, but tender-hearted ex-cop Sam. Sam transforms Allan into a mean, fast, ultra-lethal fighting machine through harsh, painful and arduous training for his goal of tracking down the wealthy nihilistic scum that nearly did him in.

This gritty, ugly and ferocious little film gets by on the basis of its raw, no-frills, rough-edged brutality which is what exploitation trash is all about. It unnervingly blurs the line between the good guys and the bad guys by depicting a grim future where violence and savagery are an everyday part of life.

This post-apocalyptic film sprang out of Italy after the success of the Mad Max films and set in the 31st century which spookily bears the same problems as today's world with the depletion of the Ozone layer and subsequent global warming. In this nightmarish future, the seas have dried up and the earth has become a parched desert, making water become an incredibly precious commodity.

One group of survivors send out a search party armed with a trusty map to find a supposed water supply and retrieve it. While on route the party is brutally murdered by vicious bandits who are roaming the wastelands pillaging and killing as they scavenge for water of their own.

A small boy and his hamster survive the slaughter and end up meeting a nomad with no morals who decides to use the kid for his knowledge of the water oasis whereabouts. The nomad can't wait to collect the water and sell it to the highest bidder, so together they battle their way through ambushes in the wasteland in search of quenching their thirst.

ENDGAME (1983)

The year is 2025 and the world is rising from the ashes of the nuclear war. The favorite TV show is Endgame, a game where the prey must escape the hunters for their lives.

Al Cliver (Zombie, The Beyond) stars as Shannon, a champion prey, so good at Endgame that he is sponsored by the drug "Life Plus". One day while Shannon is doing the show, he runs into a telepathic girl (Laura Gemser of Emmanuelle fame) who desperately needs his help. The two of them get a posse together and head to the desert wasteland.

Along with having to deal with blind killer monks and a biker gang lead by a drooling blue mutant, the runaway group also has the sadistic Colonel Morgan and his Security Service in hot pursuit.
