The Canon 50mm lens has great depth-of-field but can be a little tricky to use below f/2.0. The DOF is razor thin. Once you get comfortable with it you can create some interesting effects. This abstract circular pattern was created from a group of pastic cups.

This was taken outside my house in Virginia in the middle of January. I thought it was pretty. Using Aperture I adjusted the colors and saturation. Quite lovely, I think... Comments welcome.
