Before renaming to Pasta Pasta this night pizzeria was called "La Strada" and you can see the old sign and the old name even many years after. "La Strada" was famous for its very, very bad food and sometimes food poisoning. And besides bad cocktail salad dressing you can expect today fine italian food. mostly.

But it was - and is - the only place to get food late at night here in Karlsruhe/Germany. Even McDonalds is closing at weekday nights.

Couldn't sleep well. <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/eckes/">eckes</a> was very anxious at night and kept my awake. Then the doorbell rang insistent and the postman hands this envelope out. It contains tapes for my label printer I ordered online.

baffling for the most people living overseas.. here in germany the shopping hours are restricted by the government. till last month the shops are allowed to open until 8pm, now until 10pm. two more hours. wow.

Fish, aspargus, potatoes, salad.. and more

Its aspargus season and we are living in an area with many aspargus farmers.. so I serve aspargus as often as possible before there is no fresh aspargus until next year
