Each behavior possessed by an individual has its cause. It can either be learnt or inherited from another person. There are many things that can lead to substance abuse, some of which we have no control over. Research shows that having a family history of substance abuse makes a person more at risk for alcohol and drug abuse (SACFS.pdf). This cause can be termed as hereditary. It can be something that is in the family’s blood. Some families, especially the modern ones, go with their children to liquor joints where they take alcohol in the presence of their kids. When a kid matures, he or she will tend to continue with the same behavior and in most cases become a drug addict.

It may come as a surprise this article is about effects of alcohol abuse is poisoning. In fact alcohol is a kind of poison and sometimes drinking it can lead to lethal consequences. One has to understand that in one hour time period body can process only a single unit of alcohol. So if someone drinks a lot in a short span of time the alcohol content in the blood will rise and it can stop proper functioning of the body.
