mobile sites are more and more useful, as more and more people get mobile web browsing capabilities.

a really, really stripped down version of the site would be all that's necessary. a mechanism to search, see recent uploads, comment, favourite and subscribe.

First of all: The GMail app is probably the best piece of software to be released in 2006. It's pure genius.

We'd really love to do a mobile application, and we actually had one in pre-production a while back. The end result was a few pieces of paper and the introduction of the Conversations section into the main site. The big problem is that we're not Google, and we don't have unlimited resources to develop extra software (even if it is genius). Sorry, guys... However, we might do a limited version of the site for mobile phones at some point.

Until then, you should check out Opera Mini; I've been using it to browse 23 for a while, and it's actually quite good.

Word!! I have a treo. I'm with ya. Only if it's an app, don't make it compatible with everything BUT treos, like the gmail app. Damn that annoys me.

I love 23hq and I wont switch to a more "friendster/myspace/facebook/crap-like flickr" ever. The only downside is that I would love to see my pictures from my Blackberry.

One suggestion: Make the mobile version of 23hq a Java app like google's mobile maps or GMail. That would be super! I can just see it: An icon on my handheld reading "My Photos" or "My 23hq Photos". Oh drool.
