Need help sorting out how to use 23? Or have you discovered one of those nasty bugs?

Re: Editing comments not working as intended
Thanks for the bugfix, and yes, forums and photogroups were what I primarily had in mind when asking for a history function, although I can also see its utility on photo comments, as they are essentially multi-user communications, too.
And what do you think about extending the forum preview function to photo comments?

Re: Editing comments not working as intended
A version history might be overdoing it a bit, although I kinda like the idea. It probably makes more sense on multi-user contexts where you have more that one person editing that same piece of text.

I've fixed the html bug though...

Re: Editing comments not working as intended
Oh, and while you're at it... a version history for comments... like in a wiki page... was just a thought that flashed up.
With such a feature, even the editing of one's own forum posts could be allowed, as the previous content could still be retrieved, thus preserving the flow of the discussion, or rather documenting any changes to it... this could be a(nother) distinguishing feature, I haven't seen that on any forum yet.
But then of course, I don't know how expensive that would be in terms of storage requirement.

Editing comments not working as intended
Hi,

when commenting on photos, if the comment contains HTML tags, I am allowed to post it without a problem, which I feel is fine.
But should I need to edit that comment, I am not allowed to re-submit it after editing:

We had a problem with your input:

Value for content contains HTML tags

Please back up using your browser, correct the above, and resubmit your entry.

Thank you.

I'd rather see the validity checker convinced that HTML tags are actually a fine thing ;)

My current workaround for editing HTML-comments is to re-post it in the corrected form, and then delete the previous comment, but that is only tolerable if nobody else has commented since.

The preview we have here on the forum before posting would be great to have, as might be an option to (dis-)allow HTML comments on an account.
