Conversation in Help for 23

Is 23 still alive ...or at least being actively developed? Some features don' t work (most prominently: Send, Contacts, Conversations).

I've seen them all a decade ago, then they worked like a charm. Now even http://blog.23company.com/ and http://www.23visual.com/ are dead.

Is there still someone behind 23?

aah, I found out:

- Hover over the frame, so you see, there is one
- Click in the Frame once
- A "Delete" field appears
- Click on it.

If the Rectangle still is visible, there are more
on the same place - one over the other - up to six times
(at least in some of my pics)

It's a great comment -- and we've seen it from our side too. The captchas are obviously good for blocking bot traffic, but not the human version. From our end, we're also blocking ip addresses and setting up links with nofollow etc, so the basics are in places.

The user registration suggestion could be an option, but the honest version is that for people already filling in captchas and jumping ip addresses, registering an account is unlikely to be an impediment. We do offer the option to block comments entirely on an account, but that's obviously far from ideal.

PS: other users have noticed it too... see Dosron's last photo http://www.23hq.com/dosron/photo/62277410, also on Milu's photos (e.g. http://www.23hq.com/Mil%C3%BA/photo/62570314 ) there's a few and the views on these new photos goes up to 900 and above.....

SPAM ISSUES
Dear 23hq team

it's not a new issue but I feel that the spam has gotten so out of control that more and more users have left over time. Unfortunately the captchas aren't controlling things.

I've commented on the last thread that Appalosa opened re blocking users who randomly place footnotes on their images. I guess you cannot just close an account on suspicion of spam but re actual spam there is a real need for some improvement.

In my expierence a lot of the spam (I've been getting on my images but also seen elsewhere) is not mainly coming from accounts / no associated account there, example here

Leaving these spam comments on my image here just for now for 23hq team.

Would it be an option to at least only allow comments from registered users? Totally get rid of that option to comment if there's no associated account would be my suggestion. I'm not saying it will get rid of all spam, but I think it would definitely help to prevent some!

Hi 23hq team and users,

I have a similar issue with "Testing223". I will check for footnotes now but this account randomly tags my photos with "e", I have deleted some and left some for 23hq to have a look at this.
It doesn't bother me that much as it's not spam per se right now but I am wondering if "they" are "testing" so to say what they can do.

On another note, for the 23h team - spam is unfortunately still rife... despite your captchas.

I've been getting a lot of spam comments on my pictures where there isn't actually an account associated. Are they emailing these comments? How can there be comments without an associated account? I guess you allow for that option but in that case shouldn't you make the hurdle for spam as high as possible?

How Do I Block a User?

Is spamming my photos with multiple fotonotes. How do I prevent this user from commenting/viewing my photos? I don't see any link or button or anything that says "block user"

If you start your link with "http://" and get rid of the "1sTaRtUrL" at the beginning, your link should work.

Anyway, I am subscribed to you and when I receive the photos their link (when one clicks on them) is not the correct one.

And I just wanted to let the 23hq DEVs know about this issue :).

Why does so little here work?
Searching photos leads to file not found.

Change about page description doesn't change anything.

Choosing no download of photos still gives unsigned in access to every size of photo.

No response to emails.

Is there a reason all these things don't work?

Is there a way to not display the pictures on the front page? There's been a photo of a naked person on there for weeks. I can't even check the site while I'm at work. I just want a way to see only my photos and/or groups.
