I believe this is customized Model T. Being related to a motor-head or two and having worked with some, it was a pleasure to talk with this fellow, and he kindly gave me permission to take some pictures (apparently I'm not the first shutterbug to want pictures of his Ford, hardly surprising!).

Normally I would blur out the license plate, but here I had the owner's permission to take pictures.

I had another in this series, basically he's further down the berm.

030. Bold.

The people who really wanted to pick up spots took chances.

Here one brave competitor has bypassed the logjam up the steps and
is demonstrating the flying-mount technique. Definitely very bold.

091. Desk.

When you spend your life chained to a desk, getting out of the office during the day becomes very important.

After a miserable summer, we had one or two amazing days at the end of September, this is from one of them.

On Approach - I happened by when they were doing quick circuits to train the ground crew. I picked this spot as being the best place to stand at in terms of composition. They are coming in to land at this point. This is actually a reasonably risky sport, there aren't many flat places to land at (they have to be clear of trees).

083. Release.

After we release the turbulence and air-sickness will [mostly] go away.

Of course, that's when the fun really starts, as the plane is piloted [and powered] entirely by wits after that.

That plane up there is dragging us to release altitude ...

As you can see from the Altimeter, we are up around 1,000 meters.
