On Approach - I happened by when they were doing quick circuits to train the ground crew. I picked this spot as being the best place to stand at in terms of composition. They are coming in to land at this point. This is actually a reasonably risky sport, there aren't many flat places to land at (they have to be clear of trees).

This needed processing ... after trying the Monthly Editing Challenge at digital-photography-school.com I felt I had the skills to try working on something like this. I must have taken this before the challenge, as it would make a lot more sense as a Vertical. Still, I kind of like the early morning rolling banks of fog.

I was up early to capture the sunrise but the weather wasn't cooperating. I wanted to capture these beams of light breaking through the clouds (called Cloud Breaks, Crepuscular Rays or God Rays) but was having trouble with the exposure. Of my experiments, this is the thirteenth of thirteen.
