The sanctions are designed to create dissatisfaction and heighten stress levels in order to destabalise and weaken the country from within, ready for an attack at a time, yet to be defined.<br /> Syria is being taken out right now so that the country is controlled and the ground made secure for military forces to operate from within Syria against Iran.<br /> Protesters and anti-war groups must now prepare to counteract a major political and media campaign based on propaganda, mis-information, bias and lies that will be made against Iran and the Iranian people.<br /> We must be ready to counteract the false claims and accusations that will be made by people in a position of authority and power.<br /> We must not repeat the mistakes made in the past by simply protesting, going on marches and rallies. We know that we have to do more than that! Put simply, the governments of the world get away with doing what they do because there is nothing to STOP them!<br /> Speak out NOW!!<br /> Prepare to do all that matters in order to prevent another war! The outcome of launching a war of aggression against such a powerful country as Iran would have catastrophic consequences for the whole world. Peace can only be made through peace. By 1957, the West judged the regime sufficiently stable and friendly that nuclear proliferation would not become a threat.<br /> That year, a civil nuclear co-operation programme was established under the U.S. Atoms for Peace program. In 1959, the Tehran Nuclear Research Center (TNRC) was established, run by the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI). The TNRC was equipped with a U.S.-supplied 5-megawatt nuclear research reactor, which became operational in 1967 and was fuelled by highly enriched uranium. Iran signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) in 1968 and ratified it in 1970. With the establishment of Iran's atomic agency and the NPT in place, the MRP approved plans to construct, with U.S. help, up to 23 nuclear power stations by the year 2000.<br /> Gawdat Bahgat, a professor of Middle Eastern Studies states that &quot;Despite assertions that Iran’s nuclear programme under the MRP was only for peaceful purposes, some sources claim that the MRP intended to build nuclear weapons capability. In the mid-1970s, the MRP was quoted as saying that Iran would have nuclear weapons 'without a doubt and sooner than one would think.' The Center for Non-proliferation Studies at the Monterey Institute of International Studies claims that the Western intelligence community 'had long suspected that the MRP’s nuclear scientists conducted research into military applications.'...despite these speculations on the MRP’s intentions, it is important to point out that in 1974, when the AEOI was established, the MRP called for class="23-standard"/></a></p><p>Don't Attack Iran</p> <p>Abbas Edalat (Persian: عباس عدالت) is a professor of computer science and mathematics at Imperial College of London and a political activist.</p> <p>A diplomatic, economic and military noose is being steadily but firmly tightened around the Islamic Republic of Iran which paves the way for a full scale Western military assault against the country headed by the US and UK and prodded by Israel.<br /> The aim of the western war campaign is to once again re-colonise Iran after the 1979 Iranian Islamic revolution, as the west did by the CIA-MI5 engineered coup of 1953 against the democratically elected government of Dr Mohammad Mossadegh who led the movement for the nationalization of oil industry. The Shah’s downfall inflicted a most serious blow to the interests and the domination of the US, UK and their allies in this most strategically vital region of the world with its oil and gas resources.<br /> Initially the west backed the invasion of Iran by Iraq which included providing Saddam Hossein with chemical weapons against Iranian soldiers, Revolutionary Guards and civilians, but the eight year war failed to overthrow the Islamic Republic. Since 9/11 there has been a massive escalation of a multi-pronged diplomatic, military, economic and propaganda war campaign against Iran with open threats of military action and open call for a regime change.<br /> In 2004, a US presidential directive authorized stockpiling and deployment of tactical nuclear weapons against Iran. A covert military war against the Islamic Republic started as early as 2005 with US special forces making reconnaissance forays into the country over the border with Iraq. In 2008, the Bush Administration launched a $400 million budgeted covert operation against Iran by supporting the terrorist organizations of Jondollah, Pjak and MEK. This was followed in September 2010 by the “Joint unconventional warfare taskforce execute order” which authorizes US special forces to “prepare the environment [in Iran] for future offensive by the US or local forces”.<br /> Since 2004, the west has taken up Iran’s civilian nuclear programme as a pretext to mobilize pressure and impose sanctions against the country. While the IAEA has consistently confirmed the non-diversion of nuclear material in Iran, where there is a fatwa by the Supreme leader against the production, stockpiling and use of nuclear weapons and all WMDs, the west has alleged that Iran intends to build nuclear weapons and has already experimented with military studies. Not a single shred of evidence for this allegation has ever been found by the IAEA.<br /> In October 2010, John Sawers, the head of MI6, publicly called for “intelligence-led operations to make it more difficult for countries like Iran to develop nuclear weapons”. Since then two Iranian scientists have been assassinated in Iran and most experts point their fingers at Mossad with support from the CIA and MI6.<br /> The latest IAEA report confirmed once again the non-diversion of all declared nuclear material, which is the only mandate of the agency with respect to its safeguards agreement with Iran. The report also expressed concern, for the first time under the new head of the agency, Yukiya Amano, who has been exposed in Wikileaks documents as a staunch ally of the US against Iran, that Iran may have experimented with military research before 2004, and that these may have continued since. These allegations are all made on the basis of documents supplied to the agency by Israel (which is known to possess a massive nuclear arsenal refusing access by IAEA inspectors to its nuclear sites), and by the US (which is still in gross violation of the nuclear non-proliferation treaty for refusing to eliminate its massive nuclear arsenals).<br /> The US, UK and Canada have used the IAEA report in the past two weeks to sanction all Iranian banks including the Central Bank of Iran, which amounts to economic warfare against Iran.<br /> The hasty decision by the British government to expel all Iranian diplomats from the UK in reaction to the storming of the British embassy on the anniversary of the assassination of one of the two Iranian scientists by some students in Tehran, for which the government of Iran had immediately apologized, is another step to isolate the Islamic republic in preparation for a military attack.<br /> The hawkish western attitude to Iran, based as it is on unfounded rumours about a nuclear weapons programme, resembles that of the run-up to the invasion of Iraq. The victim, identified as Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan, was a chemical engineering graduate of Iran’s prominent Sharif University of Technology and served as commercial deputy of Natanz nuclear installation. Witnesses say they spotted a motorcyclist attaching a sticky bomb to Ahmadi Roshan’s car near a college of Allameh Tabatabaei University in Tehran on Wednesday morning, Presstv reported.<br /> Ahmadi Roshan was killed instantly and his colleague, identified as Reza Qashqaei, and a bystander, who had sustained injuries, were transferred to Resalat Hospital.<br /> Qashqaei passed away on Wednesday due to the severity of his wounds. Millions of Internet users and entrepreneurs already oppose SOPA and PIPA.<br /> The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) is a law (bill) of the United States proposed in 2011 to fight online trafficking in copyrighted intellectual property and counterfeit goods. Proposals include barring advertising networks and payment facilities from conducting business with allegedly infringing websites, barring search engines from linking to the sites, and requiring Internet service providers (ISP) to block access to the sites. The bill would criminalize the streaming of such content, with a <u>maximum penalty of <b>five (5) years </b>in prison</u>.<br /> User-content websites such as YouTube would be greatly affected, and concern has been expressed that they may be shut down if the bill becomes law. Opponents state the legislation would enable law enforcement to remove an entire domain due to something posted on a single blog, arguing that an entire online community could be punished for the actions of a tiny minority. In a 1998 law, copyright owners are required to request the site to remove the infringing material within a certain amount of time. SOPA would bypass this "safe harbor" provision by placing the responsibility for detecting and policing infringement onto the site itself.<br /> Lobbyists for companies that rely heavily on revenue from intellectual property copyright state it protects the market and corresponding industry, jobs, and revenue. The US president and legislators suggest it may kill innovation. Representatives of the American Library Association state the changes could encourage criminal prosecution of libraries. John Redfield, told the Associated Press, “This situation is not unlike the situation with U.S. currency. Are we going to stop using money because the bills have ‘In God We Trust’ on them? As long as the sights meet the combat needs of troops, they’ll continue to be used.”<br /> Redfield says the inscriptions do not break military rules on proselytizing because the equipment is not distributed beyond the troops who are actually using them.<br /> Trijicon’s director of sales and marketing, told Associated Press, “We don’t publicize this.” He says, “It’s not something we make a big deal out of. I took it in Al Quds Day in Marble Arch, London 2010.<br /> Iman Darweesh Al Hams (Arabic: ايمان درويش الهمص, also 'Iyman'), (1991 - 5 October 2004) was a 13-year-old Palestinian girl killed by Israel Defense Forces (IDF) fire near a military observation post in a no-man's zone near the Philadelphi Route on 5 October 2004, in Rafah in the Gaza Strip.<br /> The IDF commander of the soldiers which shot her was accused by his comrades and Palestinian witnesses of using automatic fire into the girl's body as she lay wounded on the ground, a subject which was brought into investigation. The commander was found not guilty of illegal use of his weapon, conduct unbecoming an officer and perverting the course of justice by an Israeli military court.<br /> Human rights groups cite her death as one of several incidents which illustrate a culture of impunity in the IDF.<br /> According to Umar Abu Khalifa, 25, Israeli soldiers stormed the area, the girl left the bag and tried to run. Bullets hit the (girl's) bag and then soldiers opened fire on the girl.<br /> Palestinian witnesses reported that it was more than an hour before Israeli troops would allow medics to evacuate the body in an ambulance. At least fifteen bullets were found in the girl's body by Palestinian hospital officials.<br /> Dr. Mohammed al-Hams, who inspected the child's body told The Guardian newspaper that:<br /> She has at least 17 bullets in several parts of the body, all along the chest, hands, arms, legs ...
