This is the only sanctuary in India where you can experience a close look to the wildlife. And if you are lucky then you can have a great experience of watching the herds of elephants, the animals often come to the lake to drink the water. You can experience the wildlife from the boating in the “Periyar Lake” for a safety purpose.

Periyar Lake has so much to offer you with exquisite picturesque scenes. But you need to take the tickets from the ticket window or you can book it online. There are so many things to do in Periyar like you can take an elephant ride, and even you can give a bath to elephant. There are well furnished waiting rooms are also provided by the government to wait for your turn.
