Research was a bit sobering. So far to the hairloom treasure: <a rel="nofollow" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asquith_">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asquith_</a>(1981_automobile)/ Wir drueckten uns etwas in die Auffahrt des geschlossenen Lokals hinein um die Motorhaube zu sehen und einen Hinweis auf die Marke des historisch wirkenden auffaellingen Busses zu erhalten. Spaetere Nachforschung war leider etwas ernuechternd. style="margin-bottom: 0px;">Alas going out on a paved agricultural access road, but from there is a fine view to be had, showing the tiny Montani ridge with both castle ruins in front of the tall Ortler mountains. / Leider ging es bald hinaus auf einen geteerten landwirtschaftlichen Fahrweg, aber von dort gibt es einen unverstellten Blick auf den winzigen Montanigat mit seinen beiden There must be Weisswand, Sauruessel and some of the Tschengls range, no idea if that from behind is a glimpse of the Ortler or just Angelusspitze. / Ein Ausblick auf die andere Seite vom Etschtal. The Plima gnaws itself a straighter bed and ate most of the palace, leaving a crumbling ridge with the east wall. / Von der Seite der Strasse (und des Flusses) gesehen. This is where Beda Weber found 1834 still enough of the castle library to secure a really old transcript of the Nibelunf song / Von der Suedwestseite gesehen. The fear of the mountain dwellers of old times becomes understandable in the shadow of this form. / Die Groessenverhaeltnisse direkt under dem 1:1 Holzvogel sind sehr interessant direkt zu erleben. It is kind of difficult to find out who built it all. The only thing I could dig up was mention of the building in an old obituary of Karl Spitaler in some paper with free archives, the other way round, the national park service seems not interested to divulge anything about who built their facilities. / Leider war's nicht offen, aber es ist ein eindueckliches dem Brutalismus bverhatetes Gebaeude. Der einzige Schmuck auf der Eingangsseite ist eine vertikale dunkel verglaste Fensterreihe und ein naturgetreues Schnitzwerk von einem Bartgeuer, das vor dem Gebaude in etwa 5m Hoehe angebracht ist als ob es fliegt. Es ist nicht einfach zu googeln we das wohl gebaut hat. A child with a halo must have come in very handy in the kitchen and shop of a poor carpenter family, at least before the invention of electric light ;o) I just love Mary's dishes and the bowsaw of Joseph leaning at the counter. / Ein sehr grosses Votivbild.
