The last gothic revival iron well of Friedrichshafen / Der letzte neugotische Eisenbrunnen von Friedrichshafen

It is especially pretty and detailed, but it must sit in a most unattractive spot most people would never tarry in when in town as pedestriants / Er ist so wunderhuebsch und detailiert gemacht, doch muss er an einer Stelle stehen, an der die meissten Fussgaenger, wenn sie je dorthin geraten, nie verweilen wuerden.

Saint Mary on the Well Top / Marienfigur auf dem Brunnen

That's why it'name is Marienbrunnen. With the emphasized diapper it is also a bit funny. / Drum heisst er auch Marienbrunnen. Mit der durch vergolsung hervoghehobenem Windel entbehrt er auch nicht des Humors.

Saint Mary's Well / Marienbrunnen

Built in 1892, since 1925 gracing a corner of the Monfort-Eckener Street crossing which meanshile became the site of perpetual traffic congestion. Sitting down for contemplation not really recomended. / 1892 gebaut, seit 1925 in einem Winkel der Kreuzung Monfort-Eckenerstasse aufgestellt, wo inzwischen meisst ein Stau mit sehr dicker Luft steht. Also als Ort fuer Meditationen leider eher ungeeignet.

Harbour Station Underpass / Hafenbahnhofsunterfuehrung

Also a view of the Panzer Building, once meant as a major landmark with the panorama restaurant on top, now avoided by the official pages on history and remakable buildings in town. / Auch ein Blick auf das Panzerhochaus, einst als besonderes Wahrzeichen gedacht mit dem Panoramarestaurant oben drauf, heute von den offiziellen Geschichtspfadseiten der Stadt komplett totgeschwiegen.

Harbour Station Underpass / Hafenbahnhofsunterfuehrung

The comercial exhibit windows from the late art deo are pretty in some way and I like the shiney ceiling with that lit up maroon marble framed compartments. / Die Schaukaesten aus dem spaeten Art Deco sind auf ihre Weise recht huebsch und ich mag die verspiegelte Decke mit end Fensterramen der Boxen aus rotbraunem Marmor.

With Mount Saentis behind. We realized the amount of people climbing up to watch the last sunset of the year was drastic so we decided to rather walk to the rowboat rental and pick our spot there. / Mit dem Saentis dahinter. Wir sahen gleich das sehr viele Menschen anstrebten zum letzten Sonnenuntergang des Jahres da hinauf zu klettern, also entschieden wie zum Bootsverleih zu gehen und uns da irgendwo einen Platz zu suchen.

...this was a nice little waterside restaurant. That's still the cutest set of window panes left in all of downtown Friedrichshafen./ .... war das mal ein nettes kleines Lokal am See. Und das ist noch immer der putzigste Satz Fensterlaeden der in der ganzen Friedrichshafener Altstadt uebrig ist.

Sunset Tourists and Love Locks. So many one can barely see the legs of the folks in the uppermost level from all the Stuff hanging on the Handrails / Sonnenuntergangstouristen und Liebesschloesser. Man kann vor lauter Zeug das am obersten Gelaender haengt fast nicht mehr die Beine der Menschen sehen.
