But he's wormed his way into a good, warm, safe home. Took him in on 01.11.2011. Shadow's back story: He was thrown out by someone and ended up in my parents' backyard. He's been people friendly from day one and could be picked up by virtually anyone. Other cats, on the other hand, he didn't have any luck with. The local cats who keep the territory were mercilessly beating him up. He had a nose covered in scratches as a result. Every time my mom went out the back door, Shadow tried his darnedest to get into the house -- succeeding once. I only met him a few times before deciding to take him home myself... He was/is such a sweet cat and I feared he wouldn't survive for long outdoors. Shadow is FIV+ (feline equivalent of HIV), so he can't share his home with another cat. He's on supplements & vitamins and so far hasn't had any health issues. He's happy and content =^..^= As of May 7th, 2016 Shadow will be my parents' cat. They recently had to put their beloved Snowball to sleep and it was decided Shadow would be a perfect fit for them to ease their missing of Snowball. He has adjusted well and is luvin' all the new windows to sit in =) I will still see him just about as often... R.I.P Feb. 18th, 2021 .... Rest in Peace dear Shadow.... Even the Good Lord saw fitting to save him from any further suffering from the day we took him in. He passed peacefully in his basket, in his sleep. Shadow in His New Home

When the water was ready, I gave his pink ball one more toss then went into the kitchen to make my cup of coffee. Came back in the living room, coffee mug in hand, and there was Shadow... Just as you see him in the photo.... Waiting for me to come back and resume the game. Instead, I went and grabbed the camera as I couldn't resist the cuteness of his pose.
