Old School, Fischbach / Alte Schule, Fischbach
This listed building was a school from 1853 to 1905, but it is older than that. Today it is known as the finest example of "shabby chic" in the area and was featured by the regional magazine as counter programme to the christmas house at Ailingen some years ago. So we went looking for it in a part of town we had only known the waterfront and Mainstreet of so far. It was lacking snow like anything, but indeed proved as very charming. / Das war eine Grundschule von 1853 bis 1905, ist aber aelter. Heute wird es as besonderes Beispiel fuer "shabby chic" in dieser Gegend herausgestellt und war auch schon von der Schwaebischen mit Fotostrecke im Lifestyle Teil gezeigt worden. Man schrieb auch in der regionalen freien Werbezeitung davon, als Gegenstueck zum lauten Ailinger Weihnachtshaus als Spaziergangs-Tip, also gingen wir mal gucken, in einem Stadtteil von dem wir eigentlich bisher nur dem Seepark und die Ausfallstrasse kannten.
