✎ This 11-story post-modern glass monstrosity was completed in 2011. The Landmarks Preservation Commission had to approve the plans because the site is within the boundaries of the Greenwich Village Historic District --- a parking lot once occupied the site. So, not only is it hideous -- the undulating façade makes you feel seasick -- but they plopped it down in the midst of classic, historically significant architectural marvels of days gone by.... Thankfully, they put a maximum height limitation for this over-priced condominium building.
