I spent a fair bit of the weekend playing with css on my homepage and my two groups and I'm quite pleased with the results. Glad you like it too :)
It didn't occur to me as I was doing it but last night I checked them on a lower screen resolution (1024x768). Hmmmm, not so good. Does anyone still use less than 1280x1024 these days? If so I might need to reduce the size of the left-hand image so it doesn't get cut in half.
